Verb: to dove. To betray one's friends, partners, family, or significant others with an act of malice, greed, complete disregard for human feelings and/or vane feelings towards oneself. Despite an unknown origin, this verb has been used to describe various traitorous beings throughout history such as: Lucifer, Judas Iscariot, Marcus Brutus, Benedict Arnold and former NBA "king" LeBron James. This verb has also described various fictional characters such as Lando Calrissian from the Star Wars saga.
